Emmanuel's first day in Santa Barbara

As i saw Emmanuel coming down the escalator to the terminal where i was holding his bags in my hands. He saw me instantly and a smile quickly spread across his face. He walked to me as fast as he could and then thanked me for getting his bags from the baggage claim. I'll never forget what he said to me, Oh thank you very very much my bags are very valuable to me i have all my valuables from Rwanda in that bag in your hand, I just couldn't think of what i would do with if it had been stolen." Just then i could tell that me and Emmanuel would be very good friends. my mom was waiting in the parking lot for me and our new guest for the week. As we headed toward my moms car Emmanuel started herding toward the back seat, i asked him "Emmanuel where are you going?" he replied "I'm going to the back seat." I told him to go to the front seat, and he was very thankful. as we headed back to the house two hours away we had a lot of time to talk about what he wanted to do, he said, that all he wanted to do was go to the beach, go to a movie theatre, and also he wanted to go downtown to all the stores and the last thing he wanted to do was try american foods and drinks. As my mom pulled into the driveway Emmanuel was very tired and so we decided to give him some space for him to rest, my mom and me both knew he was very tired from the trip here.

2nd Day: bacon & sausage . . . "beach, very much fun" . . . enjoying the burgers . . . falling to sleep with a smile
3rd Day: I like the Something's Fishy fire . . . was looking forward to Bob Marley, but the link goes to your other song. Let's fix that.

7th Day:Disneyland, good finish. I hope you see him again

Carter, great job. Your visit sounds so you and so real. I bet Emmanuel would have enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for all the thought and care you put into this. Next time, just one more thing: your words are so care filled and fun, they deserve one more look by an editor to give them one more coat of wax before they paddle out to get published.

Hi Carter,
Nice blog! You might want to use some more media next time but your adventures sounded very exciting! I loved the restaurants that you took him to.
